Speed Highline Ranking List Winners 2023

Amidst the dynamic energy of 2023, the speedlining scene witnessed an electrifying surge, with highline festivals worldwide hosting an array of thrilling competitions. At each competition, finalists collect points depending on their ranks and the size of the competition (e.g. Masters, World Cup..), giving them a final score at the end of the year.

The yearly winners in our system are defined by the sum of the highest points ranking at the two largest events they participated in 2023.

Here are the top three ranking athletes gaining the most points during the last year of competition in the female and male categories.

On the third place we have Luccas!

Luccas is a standout highline pro athlete and secures the third spot in the Speed Highline rankings 2023. He slacklines for 12 years already and practiced on the highline for 10 years now. He is also one of the founders of @SlacklineRJ , a page that encourages and propagates the practice of Slackline in the state of Rio de Janeiro. They conduct classes, workshops, presentations at events and much more.

“ I love this sport! – I’m focused on growing as a highline athlete. I participate in several competitions (speedline mostly) and I have great results. Last year (2023), I represented my country in the Speedline WorldCup, which took place in France. I’m among the 10 fastest athletes in the world. In my first competition of the year (2024), I got the 1st place, in “Entre Ilhas – Speedline” event. 

I continue in the search of evolution and I’m happy and proud to be part of the evolution of the sport, as well. And I feel like I’m getting closer to achieving my dream, which is to make a living from sport.”

At the NEVES SLACK CUP 2023, Matheus dominated the Speed – Short category, claiming the 1st place (Grand Slam). Similarly, in the 1° Campeonato Brasileiro de highline speedline and the 8th Shenxianju International Highline challenge, he exhibited unmatched speed and precision, securing the 1st place (Masters) each time.
