Nina Mappes has been slacklining since 2013 and highlining since 2014. As founder of Slackline Hamburg e.V., she has been highly involved in the development of the slacklining community in Germany over the past 4 years. On that note she has helped organize numerous events such as for example the Highline Rescue Training in Berlin (2017) and has been involved in developing educational workshops about longline and highline rigging. Standing out, Nina has helped organize the first Slackline Instructor Training in Germany together with the ISA Education Commission. In September 2018 she filled Thomas Buckingham’s shoes as Vice President of the ISA. Due to her professional experience as a project manager in the non-profit sector, Nina is mainly involved in the public relations of the organization.
