Nicolás is an engineer and found his way to slacklining through rock climbing. It was his teacher, who suggested that “body balance and breathing techniques would be a useful addition to his training”. However, it was not until Nicolás joined a couple of Slackliners in the park in Viña del Mar (Chile), when he became a total slackline addict. First competing as an amateur, he pretty soon became one of the best Trickliners in Chile. After a series of injuries Nicolás has now shifted his focus on other slackline disciplines, such as roedolining and highlining. As a founder of “Libera Tu Mono” Slackline Crew, Nicolás has taken an active role in developing the Chilean slackline community. Within the ISA he helps coordinate efforts regarding the development and management of an  international ranking list.
