Trickline Ranking List Winners

Join us as we celebrate the outstanding achievements of the 2025 trickline champions, whose remarkable talents have dazzled audiences and set new standards in the sport. Freestyle tricklining competitions are held worldwide, with finalists earning points based on their rank and the scale of the event (e.g., Masters or World Cups) to determine their final year-end score.

The yearly winners in our system are defined by the sum of the highest points ranking at the two largest events they participated in 2025.

Below are the top three athletes who earned the most points in the female and male categories during this past year of competition. As in previous years, Japan continues to dominate the scene, with its youngest athletes proving to be the best in the world.

Mao Takebe

Freestyle Trickline Female 3rd Place: Mao

After a dominant four-year stretch at the top of the podium, the legendary Mao Takebe secured the third-place global ranking for the 2025 season. As a multi-time world champion and the yearly winner in 2020, 2021, 2023, and 2024, Mao’s legacy as one of the sport’s brightest stars is firmly cemented.

Now tricklining for a decade, this 20-year-old Japanese sensation continues to be a cornerstone of the dynamic trickline world. Her 2025 season was defined by consistent high-level performances, highlighted by a 1st place victory at the Gibbon Cup Kobe-Sannomiya and a strong bronze medal finish at the Trickline World Cup in Stuttgart. Let’s meet Mirai, 2nd place in the ranking 2025:

Name: Mirai Kuwabara

Mirai Kuwabara’s 2025 season further solidified her status as one of the most technically gifted athletes in the world. Recognizing the immense prestige of high-tier events, Mirai delivered her best performances where the pressure was highest. Her season was headlined by a spectacular 1st place victory at the Outdoormix Festival, a prestigious Masters-level event.

She further proved her elite standing by securing the silver medal at the Trickline World Cup in Munich, a critical World Cup-size competition where she faced the toughest field in the sport. As the first woman to ever land the CAD flip(Butt Frontflip 180 to backflip to butt), Mirai continues to use her daily training—ranging from floor flips to precise line techniques—to push the boundaries of freestyle tricklining. By maintaining her second-place global ranking for two consecutive years, she remains a dominant force and a primary contender for the top spot in 2026.

Kanon Ito

Freestyle Trickline Female 1st Place: Kanon

Kanon Ito has delivered one of the most meteoric rises in the history of freestyle tricklining. After entering the global rankings at 10th place in 2022 at age 8 years old and climbing steadily to 5th in 2024, she has officially reached the pinnacle as the 2025 Yearly Winner. At just 11 years old, Kanon has transformed from a rising prospect into the sport’s premier athlete through a season of absolute dominance.

Her 2025 campaign was a masterclass in competitive excellence, highlighted by 1st place victories at nearly every major event she entered, including the Trickline World Cup stops in both Munich and Stuttgart, the 13th Nippon Open Championship, and the Gibbon Cup events in Tokyo (Odaiba) and Hyogo. Her ability to perform high-difficulty combinations with such consistency at such a young age has redefined the standards of the discipline. Rikuto dominated the scene with spectacular first-place finishes at the Trickline World Cup in Munich, the GoPro Mountain Games, and the 13th Nippon Open Championship. He further showcased his unmatched versatility by winning the Slackline Tournament Shinshu and the Slackline Tournament Kyushu.
