Trickline Ranking List Winners
Join us as we celebrate the outstanding achievements of the trickline champions of 2024, whose remarkable talents have dazzled audiences and set new standards in the sport. Freestyle Trickline competitions are happening all around the world and finalists collect points depending on their ranks and the size of the competition (e.g. Masters, World Cup..), giving them a final score at the end of the year.
The yearly winners in our system are defined by the sum of the highest points ranking at the two largest events they participated in 2024.
Here the top three ranking athletes gaining the most points during the last year of competition tricklining in the female and male categories.
As in previous years, Japan continues to dominate in tricklining, with its youngest athletes proving to be the best in the world. However, Chile ist back with Abraham Hernandez, showcasing his formidable talent in the sport.
Akari Sasaki
Let’s meet Akari, third place in the ranking 2024:

- Age: 19 years old
- Nationality: Japanese
Akari is a rising star in the world of slacklining. Her journey started already with 5 years old and her training payed off, in 2024 has been remarkable, with notable achievements including 3rd place in the Gibbon Nippon Open Championship and 3rd place in the Trickline World Cup in Stuttgart. Akari’s talent and determination shine brightly, earning her a coveted spot in the Gibbon Slacklines Japan team and setting her sights on becoming the best in the world.

Mirai Kuwabara
Let’s meet Mirai, 2nd place in the ranking 2024:
Name: Mirai Kuwabara
Age: 13 years old
Nationality: Japanese
She trains daily on the trickline, usually from 30 minutes to 1 hour per session. She practices flips on the floor and she trains the techniques she wants to perform on the line. In 2024 she took part in the Gibbon Nippon Open, getting the second place in her category and she also ranked 2nd in the Trickline World Cup in Stuttgart. She was the first woman in the world to land the CAD Flip, a Butt Backlip 540!

Mao Takebe
And the winner again in 2024, female category, is Mao!

- Age: 19 years old
- Nationality: Japanese
As in 2023, in the dynamic world of tricklining, one name stood out in 2024 – Mao Takebe. She is tricklining for 9 year now! At just 19 years old, this Japanese sensation dominated the scene with her unmatched skill and relentless drive. From securing victories at prestigious events like the Gibbon Nippon Open Championship and the Trickline World Cup in Stuttgart. Mao’s journey to the top has been nothing short of spectacular. As she continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible on the trickline, Mao Takebe’s legacy as one of the sport’s brightest stars is firmly cemented. Congratulations!

Shin Kikukawa
Let´s start with the 3rd place of the podium there’s Shin!
- Name: Shin Kikukawa
- Age: 19 years old
- Nationality: Japanese
Shin is training tricklining for 6 years now. He improved his style in tricklining significantly over the past years. He scored second at the Nippon Open and also second at the Trickline World Cup in Stuttgart. Great to see that he still enjoy his training and get ready to see him at the next 2025 competitions!

Abraham Hernandez
The 2nd place, goes to Abraham!
- Name: Abraham Hernandez
- Age: 31 years old
- Nationality: Chile
Abraham is a 31 year old athlete from Linares, Chile, specialising in Tricklining. He brought the discipline to the next level, asthe first person to try the triple frontflip (Brazil World cup – 2015) and the triple backflip (Germany – 2018). He was the undisputed leader of our Ranking List from 2017-2019. After suffering a bad accident he is back, immediately on second place of our yearly ranking, congratulations!

Rikuto Nakamura
And the 2024 winner, in male category, is Rikuto!

In a remarkable display of skill and talent, 16-year-old Japanese slackliner Rikuto Nakamura emerged as the 2024 champion in the male category.
