I found slacklining after discovering I had an abstract desire to balance precariously in high places. I got my first line in 2012 and have been highlining as often as possible since 2018. In 2019, I was on the rigging team for GGBY and helped set up and maintain lines at various other festivals. I have always sought to spread safe and efficient rigging practices, and am increasingly interested in data driven studies of the sport’s least understood areas, especially the interaction of wind and highlines. Since joining the Safety Commission in 2020 I have managed the Highlines in Windy Conditions form (pls fill it) and lead the publication of the Wind Advisory based on its results. Currently I am working as a private elementary school teacher, but I am otherwise a firm believer in the right to useful unemployment.
